To say that Sonia had been adjusting to life within Death City would likely be an false truth. In fact, in the week since her arrival, she had not so much as ventured too far away from the dormitories, let along talk to anyone. The place had so much going on, and so many strange individuals, she almost felt like she should be fitting right in. After all, many people back home considered her to be rather strange, and a liar. How else would you describe a person who is quiet, alone and tries to take credit for things that are not her own?
Upon the very first day, she wanted to jump right back in her grandfather's truck and go home. The sight of a laughing moon was enough to freak her out. Though this was soon followed by the appearance of a talking fly as it asked for the ability to pass before them without getting crushed. Like a small child, she held tightly to the older man's arm, though for that brief moment she had forgotten who he was. Jin wasn't a cuddlier or a sympathizer, he was direct and to the point.
With a swatting of his hand against the back of her head, the girl stumbled back, rubbing her neck with a frown as he handed her the two large bags that had been packed for her. Much to her surprise, since she had believed that she would be living with him. Instead, he simply told her to call only for emergencies and to grow up as he drove away, leaving her in a cloud of dust. On her first day, in a strange new city, she had been abandoned by her only family outside of her mother. Though in all honesty, part of her should have seen this move coming the moment he stated that she'd like the view of the city at night.
Of course, that had been a lie too. After all, who would want to look out their window and see a grinning moon with what looked like blood dripping from it's teeth. Sonia stayed up, hiding under her covers after seeing such a sight. The next few days hadn't been any better. So as a means to keep herself away from such weirdness, she hid away in her room. Thankfully, she hadn't been set up with a room mate yet, so she had the place to herself. It allowed her to play in silence, though even that was limited by the hours as she couldn't play late into the night.
But she could work in peace and the melodies she created were enough to calm her nerves. Her singing helped too as it seemed to be a lullaby to herself, drifting her into slumber to the point where she would awaken to find herself sleeping with her guitar. Of course, she couldn't take it with her all the time, and so school had been a nightmare. A Meister was supposed to be capable, strong, and able to handle situations. Despite wanting to be part of the NOT class, she had been placed within the area of being combat capable, EAT. Likely due to her grandfather's influence.
It was nothing sort of a disastrous, leaving her with more bruises than she could count, even a black eye. She wanted nothing to do with this place, she didn't even know how her father could deal with this place. It was horrible, it was insane, and she didn't really belong. They all had a purpose, a reason for doing this, what did she have to go on? Just the fact that she didn't want to feel weak?
That wasn't it. She had been fine with that image before, it didn't matter to her what others thought about her...right? Walking along the sidewalk, her hoodie over her head, overshadowing her rather messed up face. The teen looked up to see a music store upon the corner, causing her to blink as she jogged lightly towards it. Considering how the dorms were being cleaned and she had nothing else to do, the girl figured to take a chance as she walked inside, holding her guitar tightly against her back. What laid before her completely blew her away.
Music, and walls of it. The CD's, records and cassettes seemed endless as they lined the walls of the store to the point that it could have been wallpaper. The instruments also peaked her interests ,looking over the strings and different styles of guitars. Though they all appeared similar, their sounds were completely unique. Then there were the posters, each artist standing in all their glory, looking down upon the people below. Hendrix, Sting, Kenchi...
"Wait what?"
Doubling taking as she looked back towards the image, the boy stood in a background of water and fire, a guitar in his hands as his eyes remained serious, but a smirk was placed on his face. He was prompting his latest single, a song that he had written himself called, "Desperate Seas". Sonia could only look up at this and frown. Her heart ached, that was her song. It was described in the caption to be about a man desperately in need of his loved ones, a lie.
If he had actually been listening...it has nothing to do with that........It has to deal with......
Part of her was so angry, she wanted scream. But instead, she kept walking, looking around at what else the place had. In truth, she could have stopped him. She had all the evidence to prove that his work was really her own. But instead, she let him have it, she let him take her soul and twist it anyway he wanted. Perhaps her grandfather was right, she needed to be stronger if she would let someone do this to her.

Inspiration is what's needed! The Demon Bo-Staff, Vespera Velázquez, needed some inspiration to relieve the stress she's been under! Was it school? Nope! Was it training to fight? Heavens no! She was on the verge of tearing her blue hair right off of her head, and all because of one song! One! Song! She had been listening to Omoide Kakera by Nano ever since she heard it, trying to duplicate the sounds. It was difficult. She couldn't find anything to indicate how the song was supposed to be played so she was trying to learn it by ear, obviously with little success. She went to the music store looking to find something else to obsess over. Maybe something simpler...? She had gone out with her guitar case in-tow today, because you never know when someone might notice and want to try playing together. Her attire, however, was something slightly more normal for her: her yellow t-shirt, black dress, black-and-white striped leggings with yellow knee patches, short white boots, and black leather gloves. She browsed relentlessly, almost looking angry as she did so. She was frustrated, definitely, but she seemed to be over-reacting to the whole situation to the casual observer. She looked all over... but she knew she wasn't going to find anything like Nano. Nano was like J-Pop with English lyrics, a very rare find. Maybe she needed to give up on it until she became more experienced. As she walked, she eyeballed the instruments in the store. They looked all right, but nothing was going to compete with her 335-body guitar. It was not only a semi-acoustic, but the blue sunburst coloring job on it was something she adored. She would have continued on normally, until something caught her ears. "Wait what?"She quickly fixated on where it came from, curious as to what was going on, and found a girl who seemed younger than her, staring at posters. The one she seemed to be looking at was an artist she wasn't familiar with. She kept looking at her as she walked by her, trying to figure out what the deal was. Not only that, but she was adorable! She had to talk to her! But start with the music, Vespera. No need to look creepy. She composed herself by relaxing and putting a smile on her face as she walked up along-side her. "Hey, what's wrong? See a musician that doesn't deserve a poster up there?"

It would have been very easy for her to just keep walking away, going about her business to the next lane. The store was large enough so that she could very much move around without so much as acknowledging anyone. But Sonia had been raised better than to not answer someone when spoken to, and the fact that this person had just come by, indicated that they wished to have some kind of discussion. Then again, it was also possible that they just were curious as to why she was staring so intensely at the boy's poster. Though her question left her at a loss for words.
".............Maybe....But I guess I don't really have a right to judge someone who's famous? They did get there somehow right?"
Her tone remained soft, though she smiled slightly at her own statement. There was no point in attempting to tell her about her real thoughts. The fact that she secretly hated this boy, that she wished that he would drop dead somewhere. Because even if she did, it was likely that the stranger wouldn't even believe her. Sometimes, she wondered if she even believed it herself? That maybe it was possible that everything that had happened, was all an idea she came up with inside her head.
Whether it was or not, it didn't matter. It was in the past now, and there was nothing that she could do to change it. Not after all this time. Sonia was slowly getting over it, though it seemed that the pace of the healing was not enough to keep her from regretting it. In her attempt to not do so, she turned her gaze towards the older female, blinking as she looked towards her with a shy expression. Her hands rested within the pockets of her shorts, looking down slightly as she took in her appearance.
The strangers attire was pretty unique, yet still quite normal to what she would see back home. The scheme of black and yellow was really eye catching, along with her striped white and black stockings. But the thing that really drew her attention, would be the guitar case. It was something that every artist knew to recognize about a person of a similar spirit. The instruments people carry, often or not defines who they are. For some, it was a game boy or a phone, or a expensive purse. But for this person, it was a guitar case, which could only make Sonia wonder.
"So....you play the guitar? I'm sorry if I'm making assumptions...its just...the case..its a guitar case right?"

Vespera almost laughed at the notion that you shouldn't be able to judge someone because they're famous. Almost. Instead she raised her free hand to cover her mouth to hide that she did crack a grin at the idea. See, Vespera has a list. A list of musicians that she just couldn't stand. As coincidence would have it, she just happened to see a Taylor Swift album and simply rolled her eyes as she lowered her hand back to her side. That woman was definitely on her list. She wasn't going to say that she was judging them, but she still needed an appropriate answer.
"Just because they're famous doesn't always mean they deserve to be. Honestly there are some musicians I don't understand why they're famous, because their music simply lacks a soul to it, you know?"
The girl was smiling, but the delay in her response made her think there was more to it than that. Still, that would be something to discuss later, assuming this meeting turns into a friendship of course, and Vespera was certainly hoping for that. Of course, now that she mentioned her guitar... maybe she plays too?! She still hadn't done much in the way of organizing a band, despite a few offers that she was still considering. Still, this was getting too far ahead, she could just be taking an interest in the fact she's carrying a guitar with her in the first place. One step at a time, Vespera.
"I do indeed! I'm still learning, but I am also looking for other people who are learning to form a band, since learning it more fun together, right?" she said, beaming as she looked towards the young girl.

Music that lacks soul.....That....sounds like it....
Sonia never consider this to be a reason why she found herself feeling a certain hatred to her own songs. But it made sense in a way, as the one protraying the music did not write it. The words held no meaning, no depth, no feeling, no effort. The listener, a true listener, would be able to tell if these were words coming from someone who knew of these feelings or simply were saying them to appeal to someone. If not, then the one singing them had the gift to make each one very much believable to the audience.
" Right...That's...true too..."
Smiling slightly as she giggled to herself, Sonia found herself listening more and more to the stranger as she went on about how she was still learning to play. Not only that, but it seemed that she was attempting to make a band of sorts. Seemed like a good way to go about her idea of learning with like minded people, though it would be pretty difficult to pull off if she were to go about asking random people. Though she was sure that the girl had thought up a few different methods of doing so. But even Sonia had to admit that she was curious about this as well.
"That actually sounds...really fun...I'm sure a lot of people would be happy to join it...."
Holding her hands behind her back, Sonia grinned brightly as she looked up towards the older female, realizing her excitement as she quickly relaxed and let her smile fade quickly, replaced with a nervous expression.
