His typical theme song of tennis shoes thudding against pavement was present today as he was going for his daily run after classes. He wasn't going to train with the practice sword today. That meant only one thing: long run today. Of course, he didn't necessarily "need" to compensate in that way. Wait...he totally did. These methods to his madness gave him his super awesomeness that elevated him to this level of...awesomeness. Yeah, that was totally coherent. No one's going to question you Toshioni, don't you worry. Either way, he cleared his second or third lap. He didn't know...shit. Well, when in doubt, he should totally pick the one that made him run more. He could handle it; he was invincible...yeah. At about this point, he was beginning to feel the effects of running on his body. Sweat was beginning to run down his neck and lightly coat his forehead. His undershirt was going to get sweaty by the end of the hour, shorts not so much. Oh well.
As he finished the four laps that made up a mile, he jogged over to his bag that had his clothes and grabbed a water bottle. He kept jogging along the track as he swigged some of the water down. Holding onto the water bottle, he was spilling on his torso, unavoidable! He swigged the rest and threw it near his bag. He'd definitely get that later...yeah, totally.
"Stay there little water bottle. I'll get you later, ya know? Just four or so more miles."
He kept on running as the minor pains began to set in. Small discomfort in the midsection, that was fine. A little pain in the right knee, he'd power through. The bottom of his feet starting to hurt? HELL YEAH! This was RUNNING and it was MANLY!

Hani had truthfully been wandering around the school this whole day, easily skipping classes she had no bother to deal with right now. She was one of the much older students here, and it was rare to see somebody actually near her age. She was small enough to get away with blending in as long as nobody asked her age, because Hani wasn't one to lie about her age. Telling somebody that is wasn't polite to ask a ladies age wasn't lying at all if you asked her, it was just avoiding the question. Now Hani had settled down to eat some candy about the same time the boy threw the bottle on the ground. She was far enough away that you would actually have to look for her, and she wasn't surprised that she seemingly remained unnoticed. second after second ticked down and Hani grew more bored than she usually was.
Hani picked herself up along with the bag of candy that she only managed to eat halfway through so far today. She walked closer to the track with that proud walk of hers. She could never imagine running so much, it simply wasn't her style. It made you sweaty, which caused you to smell bad, and her hair would become messier than usual. Than you had to deal with cramps and sore muscles. Hani much preferred to be carried around like the princess she was, and everybody should know she is. She know stood beside the plastic water bottle and she picked it up neatly, how rude to litter. Didn't he know that real gentlemen where kind to the earth as well as women? Even if he had been planning on picking it up, the wind could have blown it away before he could.
Hani now found herself watching the boy, who was still on the other side of the track, more closely now. He was younger than her by at least a few years. She couldn't tell much else at this range, except that he was clearly taller than her. Who wasn't though? At that simple thought Hani crossed her arms and watched the boy with hot pink eyes that were as colder than arctic waters.

Toshioni was not blessed/cursed with brilliant powers of observation; he had no clue that a very small, domineering presence was about to be upon him. Had he known, he would've smiled at the notion of the challenge that she would present. He actually had no good idea of how much of a challenge dealing with her might be. Poor fool...poor poor fool. Back to the present! He continued along his monotonous running with nothing to push him along except his own motivation. Out of the corner of his eyes, he may have recognized the petite figure coming towards the track. However, that didn't register in his mind. He was keeping such valued track on the seconds it was taking him to keep pressing on. He must improve his time, or else. If he didn't improve his time he had to work so much harder tomorrow. While he wanted to improve in every way, the mentality of having to "punish" himself was a little extreme...even for him.
It was around this time, that he noticed the small figure on the side of the track. She had picked up his bottle. Oh crap. She definitely thought that he was just an awful awful litter bug. No no no no no. That was not the case at all. And he wouldn't let his otherwise awesome reputation go all to hell for something like this. He stopped his "stopwatch" as he finished a lap and took some deep breaths walking over to her. His body aches were manageable for the length of this encounter, assuming it wouldn't go on for too long. Prep engines, check fuel, it's show time.
"Hey, sorry about that. I was going to grab that at the end of my run, ya know? I can throw that away now if you want."
He smiled and extended his hand to take the bottle if she'd give it up. Why wouldn't she after all, he was charming enough to get a fucking bottle.

It seemed the hot sun had fried the boys brain as it took him a bit for the thought that there was somebody else here to click in his mind. He would have to get better with that if he were to stick around the small girl of asian descent. Her picky attitude made her scowl deepen under her pink bangs and furred hood. Yet it did seem to register and he pulled himself over to her pulling out what must have been his best charming smile. It needed work. "Hey, sorry about that. I was going to grab that at the end of my run, ya know? I can throw that away now if you want." If it was at all possible for looks to kill, this boy in front of her would combust into deadly black flames and even his ashes would burn to nothingness. His extended hand was ignored for a few seconds before the plastic bottle was shoved into his hands by the snobby little brat.
"Perhaps you should have thought of that before." She spoke with patience as if to a child. Cool and calm like water trickling down a creek. "There are trash cans all around this school for that very reason." Hani took a piece of candy from the plastic bag and popped it into her mouth. The heavy sun had half melted all the hard candy by now, but the jolly ranchers still tasted fruity and delicious. The sticky wrapper was rolled up and placed back into the plastic bag among it's cousins, Hani now seemingly ignoring the boy in front of her who smelled of sweet at this point. She would guess from all the running, and she did not know how long he had been running before she came here.
She had clearly never met this boy before, but she did know that nobody could be more of a narcissist than her. The spoiled princess has kissed her reflection in the mirror before when nobody was around. That was her dirty little secret though. Hani was better than this sad attempt of a charming boy, and if she were to have to deal with him that would mean retraining him. Hani though had no thought of sticking around longer than needed.

She thrust the bottle into his hand with a kind of harshness. At that time, he began to notice her scowl that seemed to eat up her whole face. Also, her face looked kinda messed up from some kind of emotion stuff. Was she that pissed about a bottle? Like seriously? What was up with her? But, that didn't matter right now! She was a girl and that meant that he had to be on his best behavior. He'd struck out a lot, too much to be picky about a girl's personal level of "anger"(bitch-ness). So, here goes, batter up!
"Perhaps you should have thought of that before. There are trash cans all around this school for that very reason."
Rubbing the back of his head, Toshioni let out a large grin as he put the bottle behind his back. He didn't really know what to say, so he kicked at the ground a little. Was she overreacting to the fact that he dropped a bottle on the ground? Well, yeah. But, there was nothing to do about it but apologize to her. What else could he really do? He didn't want to cause a commotion at all, or upset another girl. Like...come on, why should more females be driven away for no good reason like quite a few had been. It couldn't be anything to do with him...but he'd try to over correct. Come on Toshioni! Be cool. Be awesome. Don't mess this up.
"Heh. My bad I guess. I mean, I'm sorry that I left it out, ya know?" Dropping his arm from behind his head, he walked around her quickly to place the bottle in his bag. His clothes wouldn't get wet...the bottle was empty.
Spinning around on his heels, he looked at her again with a small grin. "So yeah. I'm really really sorry about that again. Can I make it up to you? Maybe get you some more candy," he motioned to her half melted bag. "Or treat you to a meal like dinner. Or whatever." Good job, so suave.

The boy grinned and scratched the back of his head, hiding the empty bottle as if he might just have learned to be ashamed of throwing such a thing on the ground. As he did her face fell more into the bored trance of hers, pink eyes slight angled up to see the boy’s face. At this point any emotion she had shown on her face was gone, eaten up by the silent static of the empty feeling that know took over her now. Even as he walked over to set the bottle into his bag, it would've only taken seconds before. It was rude to throw something on the ground. She had figured he would return to running but he came back. A small smile lighting up his face and Hani could feel the barf rise in her throat a bit. He seemed to be trying too hard to her. "So yeah. I'm really really sorry about that again. Can I make it up to you? Maybe get you some more candy," he motioned to her half melted bag, reminding her to curse the heat of this place that made it difficult to enjoy anything that couldn't stand up to it. "Or treat you to a meal like dinner. Or whatever."
Hani would easily admit this was better than the male she had needed to put up with, the albino peacock didn't have a single clue on how to treat a lady. This one was at least offering to bring her to dinner and be kind without her having to tell him off like he was some little kid. Yes a big improvement, but not big enough that he fit the standards. He would need to be tested more, poked, prodded, and lastly retrained if she was going to bother keeping this male around her. She was a princess, and she deserved only the best to be her pawns. A smirk lit her face for a few seconds as she turned to face the boy, small hands on her slender hips.
“Treating me to a meal, eh? What did you have in mind?” The words tumbled forth from her lips with a tiny cat-like smile, her cherry blossom pink eyes glinting with malicious intent as she eyed her prey. This could truly prove to be something interesting and if he could be kept properly and act like a gentleman than he just might make the perfect little pawn. Yes, Hani was a quick planner and she had the battle plan all figured out.

Toshioni saw the small smirk that dominated her small little face at this point and noticed her change in body language. The small voice in the back of his head told him that he was biting off much more than he could chew with this girl. That little voice was discarded. Goodbye inhibitions. So long common sense. Reason, isn't it about time you left with your brothers? Go on, leave. So, small mental freak out aside, he had to think quickly concerning what he was going to do about this girl. She took that stance that girls did when they where either demanding something or wanted something badly. It was reasonable to fear that this petite little number was doing both of those things right now. Curse your luck Toshioni, curse it. Of all the girls he could've run into on a given day, it had to be one that could probably scare grown men twice her size positively clueless. Good job Toshioni, good job.
“Treating me to a meal, eh? What did you have in mind?”
Ohhhhh! It was both, if only there was some kind of reward for being screwed. Oh well, Toshioni would pull through this; he was just that awesome. Right? RIGHT?! Yeah, he was. What the hell could he do about this meal thing? Well, he could take her to dinner like...tonight. Actually, that wasn't a bad idea. He could get showered and dressed and it would almost be that time. There, there was that problem solved. Good job. But, where would he take her? The only place that really popped into his head was the cafeteria at the dorm and not only would she probably take offense to that, it also wouldn't help his cause. Nothing was less romantic than a couple of compartmental trays and a dirty table while loud Freshmen were on every side of you. There was also that diner he took Tensai to every week, but that was probably only a small step up from the cafeteria. It was dimly lit, cheap, and almost too quiet. A natural supernove like Toshioni would simply draw too much attention in a place like that. Shit...what would he do? Oh yeah! Wasn't the girl supposed to pick where the pair went? That's what television and his friends has always expressed to him at least. Problem doubly solved. Hells yeah!
"Well, I guess I could uh, take you to dinner tonight, ya know? I mean, if it fits into your naturally busy schedule that is."

She had given to much hope into this boy from what she could tell. He had no sense of perseveration, but that could help her cause. Training was so much easier when you didn’t have to break them in first. This boy had melted like putty into her hands and she was enjoying every ounce of this, like a sick twisted game. Oh, and how she was winning. She inwardly laughed at the seconds of panic his mind went through as he began to try and figure out what he was going to do. This was Too easy, and too sad. Hani almost felt sorry for the boy, almost left the more thing alone. Almost, but not quite.
"Well, I guess I could uh, take you to dinner tonight, ya know? I mean, if it fits into your naturally busy schedule that is."
Hani seemed to find a bit of flattering in his words. She was more focused on the fact that he basically handed over the wheel to the car known as this situation. She could feel the power in her hands now as her pink eyes glinted dangerously. Like a snake who had caught their prey. She didn’t even need to chase it down. “Well…” She started out, drawing the word out as she playfully looked away. Drawing a tiny cute smile onto her face, resembling the one she would use on her father when she wanted something. “There is this one restaurant I’ve had my eye on. It’s that pretty little, new French one that opened up a few weeks ago.” Hani started her words out softly, carefully, with sugar. She knew that the place was a bit overpriced, and wondered if the boy even had the money.
“I mean if you’re up for it.” With those last words her eyes locked back onto the boys.

“There is this one restaurant I’ve had my eye on. It’s that pretty little, new French one that opened up a few weeks ago.”
Oh damn. This was what he'd feared when he'd gotten into this mess. He knew that place she was talking about from his superbly awesome adventures about the city at night. It had drawn a big crowd every night and it was as expensive, if not more so, than Dethsteraunt's. How was he going to possibly afford that? Backing down was not an option though! He would find a way to afford it! Even if he had to take Tensai's money and not eat for the rest of the week. Not being a complete idiot, Toshioni knew he'd have to do both of those things to survive this night. Yeah...that would be the case. But he would do both of those things with his supernova levels of awesomeness! And this girl would be thoroughly wooed by his art of treating her to this fancy meal and being a perfect gentleman. And then, then she'd be all surprised and delighted and she'd totally fall for him. Yeah, that's how this would go.
But, that didn't change the fact that he'd have to dress nice and scrape together a lot of money for this meal. With a small look down to his abdomen, he silently apologized to it. It would receive no food for a couple days, poor thing. However, he didn't let that get him down! This would all be worth it in the end! Looking up at her, he offered a small, sincere smile. Dipping into his reserves of suave that never typically saw the light of day, he formulated what to say very very quickly. Just in time for her dare to him.
“I mean if you’re up for it.”
"Well," he began, smiling and stepping towards her a bit. "Under normal circumstances I wouldn't eat at such a fine establishment, ya know? But, if that is indeed what the lady wants, who am I to refuse?" He offered this line to her like a very expensive meal, because that's what it would be. He held up pretty well under her manipulation. He never broke and just followed along without hesitation. Oh Toshi, if only you weren't so awful with women.

Hook, line, and sinker. She won the game, and she was giving herself a mental applause. She should do the same for the boy, he held up pretty well. She had known some of her father’s minions to break under her thumb, unable to hold up to the demanding manipulation of the girl. She did not know what saved the boy here; ego, stupidity, or perhaps he was just the right toy for her. Whatever it was that kept the boy together deserved a small reward. She was not only getting lunch, but now somebody to mess around with as this boy seemed very happy to bend to her will and stick around. It would be even easier to throw him away when she was bored. No emotional attachments, no issues, just trash getting dumped. That is how Hani played, and oh was this going to be fun.
“Great!” Hani smiled “happily” at the boy, lacing her fingers together behind her back and holding the almost forgotten back between her fingers. He had no idea what he had gotten himself into; there was no possible way he knew. Hani had her eyes on somebody else, in the way he seemed to have his on her. Hani was not dumb enough to not realize he was thinking of this as a date, he wanted her to fall for him. She just might play the part, but he wasn’t her style and Hani liked a challenge when it came to something like that. No she had her eyes on somebody else, and now that she thought about it this just might be her way to get his eyes on her. This was all just playing out to well. He was going to be the perfect toy.
She was going to get everything she wanted, and using this poor defenseless boy was her key to getting it. After all this was Hani Kuro, spoiled princess of the Yakuza and she always got what she wanted. She took as desperate as of measures as needed, including using other people. She was not above such actions. She held back a twisted chuckle and gave a polite smile. “By the way, I’m Hani. Hani Kuro.”

Of course, she was going to take his offer. It was what she wanted after all. She had pushed all the right buttons to get what she wanted. But never mind that, if she did indeed accept his offer, he was going on a date. Woohoo! This was awesome! Totally totally awesome! But wait...this was also going to be kind of not awesome. He was going to have to beg his brother for some money in order to make this date possible. And then he'd have to dress even nicer than he typically did. Even a supernova like him couldn't walk into Deathsteraunt's dressed like a student...that was just unheard of. Typically, he liked to set the pace of everywhere around him. But, on a date things would have to be different. He would have to abide by the rules of the establishment; there was no good way around it.
“Great!”
Actually smiling at him, the small girl looked actually cute, charming, and definitely not super manipulative. Poor Toshioni had no good way of knowing that he was getting so desperately played. Oh well, it wasn't like that would really stop anything. Him knowing about her manipulation wouldn't change the fact that he was getting a date out of getting played. It was all worth it!
"Well, yeah. I mean, it's what the lady wants, ya know?"
“By the way, I’m Hani. Hani Kuro.”
With a small smile, he offered a small bow. He thought about offering his hand to shake, but figured that was too stiff for this encounter. Yeah, he was hitting on this girl, not meeting a teacher or someone's parents. So, the bow would certainly suffice. Keep in mind, a bow from the red hot supernova Toshioni Sarungekki was worth as much as any handshake from anyone ever! He was just that awesome. Yeah! So, never dropping his smile, he prepared himself to return her greeting.
"Nice to meet you. I'm Sarungekki Toshioni."
The more he thought of it, the more he realized that both of their names pointed to Japanese descent. That was kind of odd, he didn't meet many others who were ethnically Asian at the Academy. Maybe that was because of travel issues or immigration. Oh well. It would be something to talk about, at the very least. Or what that be possibly offensive to bring up? Eh, he'd see what could come up when he got out on said date. Yeah, that was the plan: delay making the plan.

"Nice to meet you. I'm Sarungekki Toshioni." He said with a bow. It appeared he was Japanese like her, this might bring issues up if he asked about it. She couldn’t just walk around talking about her personal life. It was a bit more complicated than that really, a lot more in fact. She would have to remain sketchy about her family back home, and where she lived. He seemed like a person who was more than happy to keep talking about himself the whole time so this might just work out for her in the end. Well with that happy little smile of hers beginning to hurt she figured it was time to end the little game for now, save it and continue this afternoon. She offered a polite little smile to the boy before she began to speak.
“Well I guess I’ll be seeing you later tonight Toshioni.” She began. “How about we just meet up there around seven-thirty, kay?” She didn’t really give him too much of a chance to reply as she turned around and began to walk away. With her back to the boy she dropped that happy face, letting the bored once take over. Her cheeks hurt from smiling so much in that conversation and wiggled her jaw side to side to try and get rid of the feeling. Tonight was going to be long, and she knew that. It would all be worth it though.
If Toshioni said anything to her afterwards she didn’t hear it and she didn’t want too. She ignored the world as she did much of the time. Walking into the direction of her apartment somewhere off in the city. Her mind wandering to what she should wear tonight, if she should dress up fancy or if she should just keep it rather simple, whatever she wore it needed to seem innocent.

“Well I guess I’ll be seeing you later tonight Toshioni. How about we just meet up there around seven-thirty, kay?”As she turned away, Toshioni heaved a small sigh of relief. He hadn't prepared himself to meet her, nor had he approached her really with any intent for this encounter to go on this long. However, he was glad things had ended the way they had. Let's face it, it wasn't everyday a supernova like him didn't scare off a girl that approached him. That had to be what happened to the others; they got scared off by his residual awesomeness. Totally. Wait, no Toshioni, really it back in. He had a problem he really needed to face at some point. He needed to ask Tensai for some money. He REALLY needed to ask Tensai for some money. So, as he looked back at the track, he decided his time would be better spent preparing as opposed to finishing this run. So, grabbing his bag, he began to make his walk towards the dormitories that housed his little room. He knew that he'd have to shower, and get dressed in something nice, and then beg his little brother for money. God, he was not looking forward to that. But, he knew that he could get it from him. Come on, this was Toshioni! He was just the greatest at everything: especially getting money from his brother. So, the young Supernova wasn't worried at all concerning this task. Okay, maybe he was just a little. Just a little dammit! -End-
