Info on Student Life

This is all from the NOT! manga, which delves into detail about what it's like to actually be a student, but I pulled out the relevant info here so people won't say they're too lazy to find out for themselves:

This post deals with the general world-building that the manga adds, little details about student life that you don't get to see in the original manga.

People can have very varied reasons to come to the school, that can be altruistic or pretty self-serving. Either way, being a graduate is an ENORMOUS resume bonus and pretty much sterling credentials for whatever your character would want to do later on in life.

Demon Weapons are often maltreated "out in the real world".

So your character COULD have an Awecome McCool Name, though keep in mind that because it is a flourish that the school allows you to do, it might be perfectly reasonable IC for other characters to kinda roll their eyes at your character if it's over-the-top and they just don't have what it takes to back it up lol.

This post deal with the process of new student orientation and partnership, as well as ascension from NOT class to EAT.

"So what the hell IS NOT and EAT class?"

When students first enroll into DWMA, they are ushered into the same room for an orientation and meet and greet of sorts.

As stated here, finding a partner is the norm and eventually meisters and demon weapons both have to end up selecting someone to form a team. Autonomous weapons are an extreme exception.

The school hosts weekly events for unpartnered individuals to find a teammate, though they will not force two people together.

NOT class demon weapons often have not yet mastered their weapon transformations yet.

This is the cognitive process of the weapon transformation; it can be assumed that whereas new weapons have to effortfully picture this in their mind to be able to transform, more experienced demon weapons can do it by rote.

The NOT class undergoes physical evaluations that take the form of track and field events such as running, shotput, and high jump.

In order to qualify for EAT class, both meisters and demon weapons are expected to be physically fit and capable of strenous physical exertion. They are, after all, soldiers in a way.

This post deal with living in the dorms and student finances, as well as a brief overview of architecture and layout.

To noone's surprise, they do have a special HQ for witches, down in the dungeon levels of the school:

The dorms are FANCY AS HELL.

They even have their own kitchen on the floor~

Okay so the rooms themselves are pretty bare, but the characters JUST moved into this room. Not all dorm rooms are triples; this one just happened to be one.

The school provides them a weekly allowance, and actually keeps track of their money usage because the school is funded by taxes from every government (see Part 1).

So the school has local businesses cooperate with their allowance system, and it's the school itself that faciliates the process.
