A cape of crimson colored strings fluttered behind the classily dressed student. Half-hearted emerald gaze looked through the glasses of the young adult. Today he didn't feel like going to class. Why learn something he already knew? Revision was not something Ethan enjoyed to do. Only when it was necessary we would, but even then it was stretching it. The young male preferred to take a trip to the library. As he walked to the library; Ethan adjusted his white gloves. He pulled on the glove and flexed his fingers at the same time, and did so with the other glove. The gloves were only to keep from giving others a chill at the touch from his cold hands. Ethan damned his wavelength more than once per day. This was just another time.
Upon entering the library, the young male shoved his hands in his suit, which was untied. If Rauri would see him like this: She'd probably yell at him for doing so. Scold him while having him button-up his suit. Just thinking about it was embarrassing enough. More so if it was in public.
Ethan walked quietly in the library, looking up at the higher levels. If only I could access higher-ranked sections of the library without needing to be promoted. I'd like to know what kind of books they have back there. He thought before averting his gaze back to the row of bookshelves he was heading to. History. Fictional. Sci-fi. Whichever books he passed, nothing seemed to perk his curiosity. Eventually he stopped and grabbed a book off the shelf, and walked back to the open area where the tables were.
He sat at the first table he reached, and took the first seat. Sitting down slightly slouched in his seat, he brushed his hair out of the way to make sure that he wasn't sitting on them. Ends of the crimson hair barely touched the ground. One foot was crossed over the other as he opened the book and began to read quietly.

Eva absent-mindedly rubbed the back of the magenta-colored bun piled high on top of her head as she looked around for an appropriate spot for two. It started with a phone call. How relieved she had been to have an excuse to escape from the gag-inducing gravitas of fuzzy philosophical issues she couldn't care less about, as she had real, immediately apparent issues to attend to. "Real" real life, as she called it, didn't just knock at the door to remind her though. Rather, it blasted that door out and held her at gunpoint. It was her great misfortune, or privilege, and most likely a mix of both, that she be enrolled in the academy at the same time as a scion of the incomparable Kaneko financial empire. Her father didn't even need to remind her how much their family simply was due to Kaneko Corp: he was an accountant in the headquarter financing sector, while her mother was a lawyer in one of their copyright offices. She herself had just assumed that after completing a Masters in Electrical Engineering, she'd have no problem settling in to a cushy job in any of their R&D departments. So guess who came round asking for the Liu family to pay respects to the dynasty that had kept them fed and sustained their bourgie lifestyle for nearly two and a half decades? Her father really should have known better than to idly boast about his daughter's rapid placement into the EAT class, though now the Liu's had the dubious honor of directly working to further the expansion of Kaneko Corp. Their family, their child, had been asked first; they should have fallen to their knees and pledged the younger sister as well for that consideration. Unofficial servitude was one term she had in mind for this arrangement that had been made without her being consulted prior. Professional ass kissing training was another. With the well-being of both parents' careers tethered to the success of her own efforts at aiding Yuu in every way possible, she still knew better than to object, even superficially. She dropped her purse onto one of the large armchairs arranged by the array of reading tables, making sure to sit in the smaller, less impressive looking one of the two that faced one another. Yuu wasn't here yet, but that was to be expected. You waited on a prince, not the other way around. With the ruffled ends of her qipao sleeve covering her nose and mouth, she leaned against one of the arm cushions and surveyed the room. Her brown eyes widened and then blinked rapidly as she recognized the bent-over form off to the side- namely, the crimson hair that nearly swept the floor. 'Ohhhh lord,' she thought to herself, 'Thank you for blessing me with an unobstructed view of Mr. Hottie in these distressing times.' She wasn't even religious in that way, but it was paradoxically just the thing to calm her nerves, hottie-spotting. Well, it wasn't just any random person, as she had come to find that Ethan Lorenzio in particular was especially pleasant to look at. And hear speak. Really, just being in the unacknowledged presence of him in general was a delight. Yes, unacknowledged, and it'd stay that way. She clamped her sleeve tightly over her mouth as he moved to tuck a few stray strands behind his ear, and finally the girl looked away. Looking to occupy herself until Yuu finally arrived, she began loosening a few strands of hair, just to either sides of her face. She'd only recently made the drastic color change to her hair, for reasons unrelated to either young men, though the unbidded thought crept into her mind: did that striking color suit her as well as the naturally dark crimson did Ethan?

The Meister wasn't necessarily in the mood to get up this morning. The course of the day would be fine...There was no issue with how things would play out. A meeting had been scheduled, and he would spend the time after the meeting waiting for plans...Of another meeting. Perhaps the day would be long, and tedious, but it had nothing to do with the people that he planned to spend it with. While Eva was basically working for him, which made her an employee, he didn't intend on treating her that way. It was true that he was a Kaneko, and incredibly powerful...but at the moment his influence was limited to what his allowance(Still a lot), or what his father would allow him to do. The fact of the matter was that Yuu didn't need employees at Shibusen, other than possibly a bodyguard or some people to take care of his blogs when he was on Missions...NOT class students might work for free, but besides those he needed allies...Or friends? There was no guarantee that the girl would want either, but it was important to his mission that she would. From what he had heard about her(From other students, rather than his parents possibly misguided information)she might be someone that he genuinely would enjoy being in the company of. The flamboyant Meister began to get dressed, and chuckled slightly about the fact that he was stuck in the dorms. It was true that he had enough money to get an apartment, or rather build an apartment complex...but he hadn't really been in the mood for that. It was either he got to live in luxury, like he had back at home, or he would live like the regular students. And casually flaunting your wealth usually makes people grow to dislike you. So he had made the decision to be "normal." Sliding on a white dress-shirt, pink tie and pants, and then a pink vest. Being who he was, he wasn't keen on wearing a suit, and tie through the school...So the Meister did his best to at least somewhat fit the image. Tossing on a pink fedora he walked out of his dorm room, and made his way to the library. Once he got through the hall, and ultimately through the various girls who had stopped to ask him if this would be something new on his blog, he saw the girl...Or at least he thought he saw, the girl that he was looking for. Immediately stepping to the spot that she had picked for them, Yuu sat down, and began to talk. "Eva Liu? I was told that you hair was...Brown. Don't worry about it...It won't be an issue for me, trust. I'm thinking that we could conduct business better in a place like this. Much more quiet, and it feels like a place that you would conduct business. Unless you're Mafia, or something...Do I look okay? Sure I do, I'm Yuu Kaneko." The Meister flicked his fedora back, and then pulled out his nail file. Somehow he had forgotten that bit of grooming today. "So...Tell me about yourself. Stuff that I don't know...Like your Junior High crushes...Maybe that doesn't matter in the business world? Of course it does...I could always used that information against you. Which is why I don't want you to tell me. We can be friends, and this will work out much easier, right? I don't see an issue with you...You're well groomed, well dressed, and I hear that you're good with social stuff." Perhaps he was laying his usual act on a little too thick, but it was necessary. She wouldn't learn that he was truly a devil just yet...He was a young blonde, who was obsessed with his appearance. Nothing more, nothing less...Other than the fact that he was rich, and was supposed to take over the school.

The heir apparent of the most massively sprawling corporation in existence was very short for a male. He was exactly the same petite size as she was, actually. That detail only made it all the more intimidating to consider that in his hands rested the Liu family's life and medical insurances, trust and retirement and secondary school funds, and if she really wanted to stretch it, even the stray quarter she had unturned in her desk drawer that morning. He didn't even seem to be wearing lifts to give a false sense of added height either. "I see," she said in a carefully measured tone once Yuu finished speaking. She would be hard pressed to say what she had seen though, as Eva had tossed out the phrase to buy herself a few seconds of thinking time. The girl crossed her legs and smoothed out the black skirt, bringing her hands together to cup the knee of the top leg as her mind raced to think of the most ideal way to follow up. She laughed a little, then quickly sobered up, though a guilty smile still broke though. "I'm sorry, I was just reminding myself to ask what conditioner Tall, Red, and Handsome over there uses." With a tip of the head, she gestured towards Ethan's direction. "Swimming, it just takes so much out of my hair. It'd turn yours green too if you're not careful. It's worth the trouble though. Why stick with boring when you could stand out? Don't really care if that's supposed to be shallow, it's for me and I like attention and you're still giving it, so. But I don't need to be saying that to you specifically, of course."She could surprise him, at least she hoped, by completely foregoing this tense performance of trying as hard as possible to appear irreverent. As attractively bold as it would be to unsheathe her claws right now to prove that she was no push-over and deal with the consequences as they come, it was also terribly inelegant. Any meathead could just swagger in and announce that they weren't going to take anyone's shit, and this meeting would be pointless if that was all he needed from her. Zealous goons were cheap to come by and naturally multiplied once you looked like you were achieving any kind of significance. All he needed to do was cast his hand out and there'd be at least three to be found within five feet who were currently eyeing their conversation with intense interest. Frenzied whispers and magnifying glass stares to find every last fault and tear you down to bone were now her life source, and she just had to put on a nice show for them. She had no idea yet that she was sitting before someone for whom duplicity and manipulation were as frighteningly simple and natural as drawing breath, or she'd be at a loss of words for more than just nervousness for performing well for her family.

This was definitely going to go smoothly. Eva had immediately opened with a comment about hair, and whether or not she was aware of it, that definitely caught his attention. It wouldn't have phased him if they had been talking about something along those lines, but the sheer fact that she was paying attention to the red haired boy across the way, but was still able to slightly respond to his presence impressed him. Yuu wasn't usually able to focus on more than a few things at once, and when someone attractive was around. Someone more attractive than himself, or at least more enticing, that is. What sorts of people could he honestly say that about? People that possessed skills, or mindsets that he didn't, that might benefit him in the future.
"I don't mean to rush you...We can text a bunch to get to know each other. I'm already sure that both you, and I will make great friends...If not just great partners." Yuu was thinking about quite a few things, and now that he knew that he could work with her, he was sure that cutting to the chase would benefit them more. "First, and foremost...Accommodating the rest of my family. Two people stick out in my head right now, to be honest. Shou Kaneko, and Youko Kaneko are both enrolled, and will be working with us in the future. Shou is a perfect example of a Kaneko, and I don't think that he's going to be a problem. The most that the guy is going to need is probably someone to do his homework...I can hire people for that. He is going to spend most of his time training, and that will probably benefit us." After letting that sink in, Yuu decided to continue. Youko was the one that he needed to worry about. She had proven incapable of holding her own in any social setting, and didn't reflect the normal standards of Kaneko perfection. He wasn't sure why exactly she would be helping, but he could only assume that the girl would offer him solace in this strangely difficult environment, and possibly give him a sense of not only responsibility, but higher purpose. "Priscilla...'Youko,' is a really sweet girl, but she definitely lacks confidence, and will probably need help during, and after school. I'd be fine with walking her around everywhere, and trying to help her make friends, but I can't be with her twenty-four/seven. Do you think you could take off some of the burden for me? Maybe offer he some friendship? I'd like to just buy an apartment nearby, or something...and let her stay there, but I haven't had the time to go through all of that yet. I also think that it would be better for her here."
The boy was well aware that he had said "us," more than one time, and he had never actually asked her how comfortable she was with doing this. Yuu let out a sight, and began to focus on his nails again. "Also, I'm not going to force you into this...Your family won't suffer from your choice. I'm only offering the opportunity for both friendship, and partnership...Being myself, I'm incredibly used to using people. That's not the situation this time."

At the risk of looking airheaded to him, she drew her shoulders back, bringing the top half of the body back against the chair with it. She tilted her head a little and just looked at him as he spoke. So there wasn't just one Kaneko, oh no. Three of them. Three members of that indomitable family, Lannisters, all of them. Three Kanekos with apparently three sets of personalities to untangle and needs to be met, the honor of which fell right onto her shoulders. What was this? Work for the top dog, end up the miracle worker for all the rest of his cousins? Yeesh. He spared no time laying it all out in front of her either. "So Shou doesn't seem to really need any help from me, but Priscilla. What are you really more concerned of with her? Her own personal happiness, or making sure that her being here won't tarnish the Kaneko name? I won't know how to best assess this responsibility unless you tell me what my real goal actually would be in this." It was a bold question, very direct in zeroing in on what had not been said but could easily be construed with any amount of awareness. A little uncouth, even, in her lack of delicate phrasing, but he had gone ahead and removed the kid gloves. They were talking business now, and it was time to prove that she was up to snuff and possessed the insight to actually be of use. The Kanekos had a reputation to preserve, that was obvious. Lacking social confidence wasn't uncommon, even if she rarely suffered from it, though it was likely to be deadly in a family with that large a profile. For all of her silent griping, it was a foregone conclusion that she would assist him, and throw herself wholly at the task. It was as it was laid out to her parents: just when would she have another opportunity to contribute to such a vital effort, and be rewarded so richly for it? Kanekos at the academy meant only one thing: taking advantage of the school's vast influence to bolster their own image, and she did well to gravitate towards those who seemed like they'd eventually be the ones laying the law of the land.
