Dreams.
They fleeted from those that didn't attain the power needed to achieve them.
Power.
It was attained by those that dreamt enough about it.
He sighed.
The cycle was nauseating. As the the blue haired weapon stood, feet shoulder width apart with hands up in an offensive position. He held closed eyes. His cyan blue eyes securely fastened by flesh.
He sighed.
The cycling was nauseating. A firm pit in his stomach turned. Twisted. It felt heavy, throat dry he swallowed. The temporarily relief was brief as the dryness worked its way up to his lips. They chapped.
Cracked.
He licked. Bringing moist aid to his dismal problems. Returning to a focused mind he remembered... The cycle was annoying. Chasing power to attain your dreams while power only being attain to those that dreamt of it.
Just chasing that vicious cycle until one day you got lucky and your dreams of power became a reality so you could grab hold of your more precious dreams.
He sighed.
Flesh retracting, his aqua flavored orbs took in the midday sunlight. He looked onward as he punched forward in a quick succession with a basic one - two combo.
He sighed.
He couldn't keep worrying. He had training to do.
All this worrying was nauseating.

VEXUS CHEET The branded meister When you feel my heat Look into my eyes It’s where my demons hide It’s where my demons hide
Don’t get too close It’s dark inside It’s where my demons hide It’s where my demons hide
Torrid rays of golden sunlight beat down upon the grounds and perimeters of the DWMA. Outdoors was beyond a bad place to be at the peak of noon when the sun’s fire burned hottest and temperatures had reached a zenith. But the heat was the last thing on young Vexus’s mind as he walked the boundary of the academy’s grounds, between the field and the forest. Apparently, many of his peers did and the area outside the school was appallingly vacant. However, there were still others like himself that did not mind the escalating temperatures.
Today was just like the one before it and the one previous to that. He had been attending the DWMA a few months and so far had accomplished little; he hadn’t completed (or even attempted) any sort of mission, he had yet to find a compatible weapon partner, he hadn’t attended or participated in any classes he didn’t already have to, and he hadn’t joined any clubs within or outside the school hours. It wasn’t that he was not learning from the school, he had been taught how to enhance his skills in study and, being of the EAT classification, combat. Having only been enrolled at the academy a little over three months, Vexus was proud of his efforts spent at the school and was not at all discouraged by his current standstill.
He was wearing a pair of black shorts that stopped below the knee and a black short sleeve with horizontal white stripes that reached across it, reminiscent to the patterns of optical art. A bandage was wrapped tightly around his left palm, hiding from view the mark that had scourged him so much in the past. A pair of students caught his attention. The two were standing nearly 15 feet apart, where one would throw heavy disk-like obstacles in much the way one would have thrown a Frisbee while the other would endeavor to evade them. Interesting, he thought, so interesting that he decided to join them in their game. _________________________________
“Hey, get ready!” Vexus warned the other boy who was his target, weighing a disk in his hands experimentally in preparation to throw. The black-haired male turned and focused upon him, giving a curt nod in his direction to show he was set. Vexus idly licked his lips and tossed the disks, aiming to hit his target, but the other boy was too quick a dodger, dancing out of the way of all but one disk in a swift display of leaping and sliding. The last disk he threw aim was off and it hit the ground to soon to even be considered a threat to the other boy. Smiling apologetically, Vexus retrieved all the disks, before trusting them into the hands of the boy watching, “Here, try and hit me.”
Moments later he was standing a dozen feet away, bracing himself and watching the disks in the hands of the other male closely. The new thrower looked up to check that his mark was ready, and seeing that he indeed was hurled the first disk. Spinning with the speed of illusion, the projectile flew toward him; but he slid, coasting to the side, and the disk missed its mark. The others were thrown, but Vexus easily avoided them, suddenly finding this game of dodging like child’s play, and that perhaps why he managed to slip up. The last disk was flung without any interval from the one before it and it was clearly going to hit him. Alarmed and without a second thought, he activated his only defense.
Violet-blue orbs flashed in a violent change from indigo to a fiery orange. The disk was stopped in mid-air, stuck and unmoving; as if an invisible pair of hands had reached up and grabbed it, stopping its advance across the sky. Suddenly abashed by his sudden use of his power, he closed his eyes and gave his head a slight shake as if to ridding his mind of an unwanted thought. The disk that had been suspended in air now dropped straight to the ground, impacting with a loud clunk . The glow of orange disappeared from his eyes and when he opened them again, they had returned to their natural hue. He quickly thanked the two equally surprised students and wished them good luck in training before walking away.
He felt warmth as blood turned his cheeks a light scarlet, and he felt stupid for blushing. He was not completely familiar with using his powers and though he practiced using them in his EAT classes; he found it hard to accept that he possessed anything out of the fields of that of a normal human being. In fact, he had only been aware of his powers for a short period of time and every time he used one, he was still shocked just as much as he had been the first time he used it. Now he was surrounded by people with similar talents and abilities, so it couldn’t be too uncommon for a technique surface during a training session. Besides, he knew he would be a lot more embarrassed than he was now if had let that disk hit him.

Wind.
Whistled by as swift strikes made petite battle cries. Firm in his stance, Drake continued on. His original one - two combination had gotten a bit complex adding in a three - four and a five - six. His powerful strikes came fast. Left. Right. Left hook. Right elbow. Left elbow. Upward knee thrust. Eyes closed, Drake remained calm and focused throughout the exercise. He was prone to 'zoning out'.
He smirked
The feeling of it all overtook him. His body reclining into autopilot, The aqua eyed Demon Weapon relapsed into his focus.
He sweat.
Beads of salty lava covered him. Tickling his skin, over moistening his face, he couldn't help but take a second and wipe his face. Hands motioning, picking up to 'coolwip' his forehead. Eyes opening, he stared off. The Demon Shield did nothing more but look ahead when the sight of some unknown magic captured him.
“Hey, get ready!”
And with those words Drake decided to take a breather. He had been training all morning anyway. It wouldn't kill to watch his DWMA peers practice. As he looked on he saw a man with purple hair.... Violet? From this distance Drake couldn't tell. His eyes weren't that good. Holding disks the man lugged them across the field at another student.
So they were doing evasive training.
Drake continued to watch as the student tucked, jumped, and dodged the volley of disks. Drake's hands instinctively rose to clap. Tough he caught himself halfway through and folded them instead. Slightly embarrassed all by his lonesome, "“Here, try and hit me.”
The sound of his voice broke Drake from his embarrassment. Looking on, Drake realized it was his turn to dodge the disks.
He waited.
Finally thrown disks met their inevitable end as the majority of them flew by. First a roll, then a slide, and then an easy evade. Drake went from admiring the game to losing interest. It looked all too easy.
"Easy!" Drake almost yelled though caught himself before he looked like a fool when the Vexus was mere inches from being hit by the last disk. Instinctively, Drake took a step forward however realizing that there was nothing he could do to stop the disk in time.
In time is where the disk was lost as it floated, suspended in the air.
He didn't understand.
From this distance, Drake was amazed. The disk fell to the ground after a few moments with moderate thud and then the student walked away. Unfolding his hands, Drake walked on toward the fleeting gentleman. His hands reaching out and grabbing his black DWMA backpack and lugging it over his shoulder, "Hey!" Drake called out modestly as his walk turned into a fast walk, half run. "That was pretty impressive what you did out there..." He commented. "That was you that froze the disk right?" He asked, just to be sure. Drake smiled, casually as he always did. The friendly Demon Weapon did good in keeping a good sense of manners.
He pulled on his backpack strap and motioned back, repositioning his backpack back securely onto his shoulder as it was starting to slip. "Oh! My name is Drake Kurogasko The Second." He said feeling rude for not introducing himself first before questioning the man. His right hand extending offering a simple handshake as the other rose to scratch the back of his head provide faulty stability for the bag that hung on that shoulder.
Embarrassed.
He felt it for the third time in a row. Oh well. He was always taught that the best things came in 'Three's'.

He was walking at a calm pace and only just beginning to recover from his mortifying wave of shame when a voice from behind him nearly sent him floating amoung the clouds. He did not jump the 10 feet his nerves threatened they might cause him to do, but instead his shoulders rose slightly, bunching up from thier already squared position and the rest of his body looked as though it had just recieved a small electrical shock.
"Hey!"
The tone the word was spoken in was unpretentiously as a student summoned himself beside him. His original thought was that he had somehow offended one of the boys he was practicing maneuvers with and they had come to tell him how to play thier game correctly. Yet, this voice was not reconizable as either of the pair's and did not sound the least bit angry. He halted and made a slight turn on his heels, but the other boy was already standing before him.
The first thing he noticed was that this male was much larger than he and older too with distinctive hair of muted blue. He finished his introduction quickly after gaining Vexus's attention, remarking on the his preformance during the dodging game and finally inquiring about the frozen disk. He turned the corners of his mouth up in the presentation of a smile and Vexus took back that unatural hair color was the newcomer's oddest feature, his teeth were as sharp as daggers.
Then after a short-lived atmosphere of unwelcome silence, he quickly introduced himself and held out his hand politely proffering a handshake. Vexus didn't return the smile but slowly as if overly cautious, took the other boy's hand in greeting, the young slyboots narrowing his eyes in mischief. "I am hailed as Vexus 'Two' Cheet, nice to --he looked over the other boy, a quick and dramatic gesture before releasing his hand and stepping away-- meet you." He was increasingly uneasy about this Kurogasko character despite the kindess he potrayed, but he intended not to let that surface, though the emotion was evident in his indigo orbs. He made his best attempts to shield this from Drake as he continued, a bratty smile finally coming through to play upon his lips, "Freeze the disk? Yes, that was me, the meister with the ability to stop things with a stare."
He realized he had said too much about his power that he foolishly perfered to keep hidden, and he denied the fact that many of his classmates and teachers already knew. He suddenly frowned slightly and he took another step back from the one in front of him as he entertained the idea of walking away again.
