Kjarr didn't have much to do around Death City, so he decided that today he'd visit the Shopping district...again. However, this time he wouldn't try to mug anyone. Considering the fact that his first attempt hadn't worked out well.(and a few others after that, involving tedious falls, and trips to trash cans.) The albino had made his way to Death Records, and was searching around the explicit sections. For some reason it always made him feel better to listen to other people's intense desires, or ridiculous perspectives on life in the form of music. It was one of those things that reassured him that his own desires were justified, and he was not weird in the slightest. Perhaps this wasn't the best way to look at it, but it didn't really matter to him either way. Kjarr had no issue with looking through all the strange titles, and then whispering the lyrics to himself, from the songs that he could remember, and debating whether or not he would buy anything.
"Sometimes I wonder...Why people try to suppress their feelings...It's only an instinct...Perhaps it's just a human thing..." Kjarr wasn't entirely sure what he was going to do for the rest of the day, because this hadn't gotten boring quickly...Whenever he started to do deep thinking, he tended to believe that it was connected to his boredom. Boredom was not good for anybody. Kjarr looked around the store, which didn't seem to have any other customers in it at the time. As far as he could see, anyways...and this was even more discouraging, because it was around lunch time. No one to quickly befriend, then steal a meal from.
As he walked over to the pop music, he noticed a Christina Perri CD, and looked at it for a moment. Kjarr was well aware of what would happen if he did purchase it. The peacock would find a place to listen to it in silence, and then he would enjoy it at first, and the start to cry because of how deep her music was...Kjarr hated crying, and it was unnecessary for him to feel that way about relationships. The woman was a witch as far as he was concerned, and not the kind that was fun to have around...He moved on, and then began to look through a section of music that he hadn't been exposed to. It read something like "Death Metal", and he picked up one of the albums for a band called Cannibal Corpse"Tomb...of the Mutilated? What does that even mean!" Kjarr tossed it, and then dropped to the floor, in a sitting position. This was more tedious, than it was fun.

Mermaids, yes they had nothing to do with her current situation, but they were on her mind. All the stories she had ever been told, the real ones not the ones made for kids, they would turn into sea foam when they died. This made her curious if they were happy to become apart of the home they must love so much. She can still clearly remember standing on the beach with her father and watching the sea roll in carrying the “dead mermaids.” Hani had always been fascinated with the thought of a dead mermaid being sea foam. Perhaps it was childish for a woman of her age to think such things, but physically she could still easily be a child. Hani chuckled to herself in a calm, cold way.
Hani ran the manicured pink nails run through the locks of pink that hung next to her shoulder. Sometimes she liked to think of herself like Alice in Wonderland. It made everything so much more interesting. Not everything could be so nice though, not everything rose beautifully from the ashes like a phoenix. This world was not excluded from that rule. The tiny girl sighed as she looked up at the store she now was standing in front of. This world was so, what was the word, broken perhaps? No that didn't sound right, there was no word that could explain her feelings about the world clearly.
Hani slid her cold fingers around the colder metal out of habit she ended up pulling on the door instead of pushing. Her pink eyebrows knitted together as she pushed the door open and cold air ran out from the store to engulf her body. As she stepped in she pulled a smug look on her face as pushed back her hood and threw her hair back. The girl crossed her arms, tying them close to her body. She already knew her path and made her way quickly to the rock and metal area of the store. This place she could spend hours at, just looking at albums she already owned.
Hani's eyes spotted the only other customer, an albino. Most would be entranced at the sight of something so rare. Hani only blew air out of her nose in a silent laugh, he was paler than the white ceiling of the hospitals she hated so much. He didn't seem much like her type so the short woman kept more to herself as she searched for something to spark her interest. She looked over softly and muttered softly one of the lines from one of her favorite songs. “And your so cynical, narcissistic cannibal...” What a lovely song.

Kjarr watched a younger girl walk into the store, as he sat on the ground. The peacock had propped up his head with his hand, and was watching the girl with his deep red eyes. She walked in with a certain smugness, that could even rival his own. She walked in as if she owned the place, and this kind of annoyed him... that little snort she had! Who did this little girl think she was? Kjarr considered himself a very beautiful man, even considering his condition. She was going to give him the light of day whether she wanted to or not.
Kjarr pushed himself off of the ground, and then walked back over to Pop section, and found the one singer that the peacock knew the world hated. It didn't matter how much he disliked him, Kjarr was going to have to suck it up, just to spite her. Kjarr walked the case over to the counter and quickly purchased the torturous disc. "Do you mind if I play this...You know...Since there isn't anyone in here~!" Kjarr made the last part a little bit louder, so that the younger girl would notice, and smiled at the clerk as he pointed to a stereo in the center. The albino walked over to it, and then snickered at the fun he would have in the next couple minutes, as he set the disc in, and turned the volume all the way up.
You know you love me I know you care Just shout whenever, And I'll be there You want my love You want my heart And we would never, ever, ever be apart
Are we an item? Girl quit playin' We're just friends, What are you sayin'? Said there's another as you look right in my eyes My first love, broke my heart for the first time
And I was like Baby, baby, baby ooh Like Baby, baby, baby noo Like Baby, baby, baby ohh I thought you'd always be mine (mine) Baby, baby, baby ohh Like Baby, baby, baby noo Like Baby, baby, baby ohh I thought you'd always be mine (mine)
Kjarr then took a seat on the ground, in front of the stereo, and watched her intently as the song continued to play. The whole world around him seemed to be in some sort of chaos, and he could almost hear the screaming eleven year old girls, and their mothers in the background. It was the most annoying, and easiest way he figured that he could get attention, and he was quite proud of himself.

What an interesting choice of music, but why would he watch her while the song played. What was he some sort of pedophile. It was certainly an annoying song, one that the women took no pleasure in listening to. What the albino had not counted on was the extreme patience of this women. It made it very clear he only wished to annoy her, but he found his petty insults more of a child's game. One she took no joy in playing in. She looked over the glossy albums, they glinted in the light like a sugar frosted cake. She had yet to find one that did not belong to her immense collection. She raised her eyes in a fluidly bored motion to spot a young girl who was pointing at the store, it was clear she could hear the overly loud music, but her mother dragged her away in a fight. How silly could the girl be, disrespecting her parents in such a way. Why, she would never disrespect her father in such a way, but his minions were under her and she had always made sure they knew that.
Hani shrugged and let her mind wander once again. This time it went to an American show for children, Mickey Mouse. She remembered clearly all the characters were animals that could walk and talk. The cow, the mice, the ducks, even the cat Pete could talk and walk on two legs. Goofy the dog was no exception, so why Pluto, Mickey's pet dog. He was a dog just like goofy, so why did he bark and walk on all four legs. Was Mickey some sick twisted person who kept a retarded kid as a pet.? Hani imagined a person walking around with mentally handicapped child on a leash and shook her head softly. So why would a child's show be so grotesque. Mickey wasn't the only one, Minnie had a pet cat, and if she recalled correctly so did the cow. Was that something that was just socially accepted? Hani could not imagine anybody being so cruel. Sure people at one time had slaves who were treated like dirt, but it was still recognized that they were “human.” They had never been treated as “pets.”
Hani lifted her head from the album cover she had been staring at to walk over to the small stand that had little trinkets from bands. Key chains, wallets, and even a couple bobble heads. The song was coming to an end right about now but Hani knew another would quickly start up, how long was this pathetic man going to keep this up? It actually made the tiny women laugh, just a small little giggle, at how stupid this man was. It reminded her of the peacocks at the zoo. Opening up their pretty shiny tails and walking with a strut. Acting as if they were the best, only for the female's to walk away, ignoring the strutting idiot.

The albino had truly lost all will to continue, as the girl casually searched through albums. He could have spent money on ice cream, or baseball cards, or just about ANYTHING THAT WAS AS USELESS AS A JUSTIN BIEBER CD. This should be a lesson for the glamorous bird...even though he wasn't going to take it as one. The girl was the one with a problem, in his mind, and she had to be dealt with directly. No one was higher than a peacock, and he had to make sure that she understood that.
Standing up, and pulling the CD out of the stereo, he began to walk in her direction. The peacock was thoroughly pissed off, and wasn't really in control of himself. The next thing he did was definitely out of character. "Hey CHICK! You're a disgusting NARCISSISTIC loser, and I have a bone to pick with you." Kjarr would never speak to a young woman like that, and he wasn't entirely sure why he was doing it. All he knew was that she was a threat...Female or not, she stepped onto his territory, and acted as if she owned it. Whether it was his instincts, or something just wrong with him, it was uncertain, but he was definitely done with her.
Kjarr tossed the Justin Bieber CD right at her. The disc spun rapidly as it made its way in her direction, and looked as if it would be a direct at the back of her head. However, Kjarr hadn't planned it that way...The bird was still a magician in some aspects. The disc curved away from her head continuing its journey into her line of vision, and in a split second he activated his magic, and shot at it. The bullet was faster than the disc, and broke it into pieces right before it hit the wall, and each of those pieces reflected beautiful light off of them as they fell. Almost like a miniature fireworks display. "Boom."

Hani raised her head to the man as he began yelling, how childish. She stared at him with blank pink orbs. He certainly needed to learn some self control, and she was not one to reply to somebody who would show disrespect. Sure he had no idea who she was, and she figured he wouldn't care anyway. Either way she would not tolerate such disrespect. It was clear that she pissed him off, but again this was not something she really cared about. He was a flea, no not even. As far as she was concerned he was spoiled fruit, useless to anybody but the disgusting maggots that crawled through the eyeballs of the dead. As useless as a demon''s soul to another demon, nothing to make a feast of.
The disc spun at her and she simply began to walk away, but it made a sudden turn to spin into her sight and explode. “Boom.” His voice rang behind her as she lifted two fingers and caught a shard that would have dug into her eye. She turned around and looked at the albino, with his disgusting white skin. It reminded her of nothing but the hospital she so often had to visit, but her pink eyes betrayed nothing. They were empty, like that of a rabid animal. Void and blank of all emotion she stared at him. Hani tossed the shard before his feet.
The iridescent display had seemingly no effect, and it was true she didn't care. All he showed was that he was a witch or a magical animal. Hani had no care what he was in that moment and she stared him in the eyes through a thin waterfall sheet of pink. “Child.” She simply said to him. That's all he was.

Kjarr honestly couldn't handle it anymore. This girl had insulted him, by not looking at his beautiful body, and now she was calling him a child. The nerve she had disgusted him, and made the peacock want to lose control right in the middle of he store. Though he would refrain from doing so. Sometimes you needed to use a more delicate touch, and if Kjarr wanted her to acknowledge him...In a nicer way...He would probably have to try a different approach. "Why do you walk around like that? Who are you better than? " While he had tried to actually apologize, it didn't come out that way. The albino really needed to learn how to control himself.
As he slowly processed what he had said, the peacock walked back and forth. This girl wasn't going to respect him at this rate, and that's all he really wanted. The desire to be noticed, and acknowledged by women was too great for him to suppress. Kjarr mumbled to himself for a moment, and then turned back to her with a smile. "I'm sorry that we got off on the wrong foot...My name is Kjarr May...Would you like to go for ice cream sometime?" The albino tried to sound more calm, and then he loosened the smile a bit. She was probably going to deny.

Hani would have laughed, he wanted to know who she was better than? Well certainly this boy who couldn't keep enough cool to not scream at a women he didn't know. When he began to pace in a frustrated way Hani found it rather silly and entertaining. He then asked her to go get ice cream with him sometime. Okay so Hani loved ice cream, she really did. Strawberry ice cream with rainbow sprinkles was her favorite since childhood. She took that as an attack to her pride though. She understood she looked rather young but she wasn't, and defiantly not young enough to be bought over with ice cream. “How old do you think I am?” She mumbled. “You can't just buy people over with ice cream, I'm not six.”
Hani fixed him with cold eyes. “You really think you can just yell at somebody who you don't know and hope everything will be okay.” Hani crossed her arms at him, leaning to one side on her feet in a relaxed way. The cold air was biting at her thin legs that had been left out in the open by her skirt. It was much better then being outside in that blistering heat though. “If you really want me to like you, respect you, how about you stop acting so selfishly and act like a decent human being. Sit down with me at a restaurant and buy me real food. Get to know me before you judge me. Stop acting so absurd and act like a person, not a puppy looking for attention. Sure everybody loves a cute playful puppy, but how bored do people get of them after awhile?” Hani spoke calmly to him.
“Perhaps you could maybe even get me to like you if you take time to get to know who you're screaming at, and perhaps let me get to know you so you stop seeming like such an annoying prick.” Hani said that last part softly as she turned so her side was to him. She was beginning to want to sit down, her boredom settling in once again.

The peacock took in what she was saying, and let her finish without trying to interrupt. She had a point, but he honestly didn't think she was that young...He had just figured that everyone liked ice cream. It was difficult for him to go a good week without getting some...and he usually liked taking a girl with him, because women were wonderful company. Kjarr almost let himself get distracted by the thought of his rich vanilla, with tons of sprinkles while he stood there...Though he quickly snapped himself out of that trance. Along with giving him a whole lecture, she had also called him a prick...This wasn't really the appropriate time, but she had definitely noticed him, and took time out of her day to scold him...This meant he would probably leave a lasting impression either way. Though for some reason that left a lump in his throat. She wasn't going to respect him, unless he acted like a decent human being...and he cared for some reason.
"I'm honestly sorry...I don't think you're six. Ice cream is just a wonderful treat, and it's pretty fun too...Good ice breaker." Kjarr nodded, and then began to inspect the girl. Despite what he believed before, she might have had a good reason to walk around the way she did...It wasn't him specifically. After she had gone through her emotional lecture, she reverted back to her original countenance, and lame way of carrying herself. The girl was bored by nature, and he couldn't really blame her for that.
"Welll...If you want to go out to dinner...Then we could probably do that. I'd really appreciate the chance to get to know you better, and make up for mistreating you." The peacock smiled at her, and then put out his hand to shake. He noticed that he went through this more often than he would like, and wondered how badly his desperate need of attention would affect him in the future. Though he didn't plan on changing any time soon.

Hani held in a scoff, not because she didn't want to offend him but because she simply didn't feel the need to waste anymore energy or time on him. She looked back at him for a few seconds, inspecting the albino as if he were a bug. Her eyes finally rested on his hand, but she made no move to lay her small hand in his. She rubbed her fingers against her smooth palm, soft and delicate from an easy life. She trusted her own hands, she knew they could get done what she needed done. Even if it were to only snap and get the attention of one of the maids back home. His hands came from an unknown world and she didn't trust touching him. She did not know where his hands had been, so she would refuse to touch them. Thus keeping her hands clean of any disgusting things his hands may have done. “I don't know where that thing has been.” She said simply and turned to walk out the door.
The metal was much cooler on this side of the door, so much that it seemed to freeze her fingers in place for a second before she yanked the door open and let the blistering Arizona heat into the store, but as soon as the heat had begun it's infiltration it was stopped. The door closed with a tiny bump and the short girl made her way down the street. In a town like this she suspected she would never meet the man again. She let out a tiny sigh, that didn't bother her right...right?
Hani hung her head before picking it back up, of course it didn't. She never needed anybody, not now not ever. She walked down the street farther from the albino, maybe he would follow her? No, he wouldn't that was a stupid thought. He was interesting though, no She shouldn't be thinking like that. He was an annoying little idiot and she wanted nothing to do with a creature that had been so ill raised.
